Special Notices

  • The $360 Emergency Fee at Universal Electrician Inc. is non-refundable and must be paid in advance, independent of the project’s cost.
  • For example, if an after-hours emergency, like a non-functional light fixture, requires our services, an immediate non-refundable $360 Emergency Fee will be charged. Additional fees of $99 ($200 for Business/Commercial) may apply if the service is successful. However, the $360 Emergency Fee will not be refunded if the emergency service is not performed.
  • We apologize for any inconvenience these terms may cause.

General Terms and Conditions

This document outlines our services. Modifications might apply to specific situations. We advise reviewing these terms before contracting our services, as they can change without notice.

Site Conditions

  • Universal Electrician Inc. secures permission for accessing other properties for work and holds no liability except in cases of negligence.
  • Customers are responsible for securing and protecting their property during and after our services. They must hold Universal Electrician Inc. harmless against any claims resulting from their failure to do so.

Limited Warranty

  • Our materials and workmanship carry a one-year warranty, unless stated otherwise in writing. Exclusions include misuse, negligence, or acts of nature like earthquakes. Drain cleaning or refrigerant leaks are not covered.
  • Contact us within 24 hours of a warranty claim. Response hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
  • Universal Electrician Inc. isn’t liable for water or other damage linked to a delayed response to a warranty claim. Customers must mitigate damages.

Unforeseen Conditions

  • Customers are responsible for unforeseen conditions and circumstances outside of our control and agree to pay for related labor or materials.
  • Customers agree to indemnify and hold Universal Electrician Inc. harmless against all claims arising from these unforeseen conditions.

Asbestos or Hazardous Materials

  • We do not handle asbestos or hazardous materials and bear no responsibility if found on the customer’s property.
  • All work will cease until customers comply with laws if such materials are found on their property.

Recommendation Not Performed

  • If suggested options are not chosen and a failure occurs, Universal Electrician Inc. is held harmless.

Stoppages

  • Cleaning drain lines or sewer lines through a roof vent is not offered.
  • Customers are responsible for removing a stuck drain cleaning cable or additional repairs. Any cleanup cost due to sewage spillage is the customer’s responsibility.

License, Permits, Fees

  • Customers provide and pay for taxes, permits, and license fees. Access for administrative authorities must be provided within a reasonable time.
  • If additional work is requested by administrative authorities beyond our contract, it’s the customer’s responsibility.

Parking Our Vehicles

  • Vehicles must be parked legally and safely within 100 feet of the entry door.

Payment and Liens

  • All payments for services rendered by Universal Electrician Inc. are to be made immediately upon completion of the work. Failure to remit payment as agreed is a violation of this contract and may result in the suspension of further services or legal action to recover the amount due.
  • Lien Rights: Universal Electrician Inc. retains the right to file a mechanic’s lien on the customer’s property in the event of non-payment for services rendered. The customer acknowledges and agrees that Universal Electrician Inc. may take legal action to enforce any such lien rights to recover the unpaid amount for the provided services. Universal Electrician Inc. shall bear no liability for costs or damages resulting from any such legal proceedings.
  • Payment for the work described in the Agreement is immediately due upon completion.
  • No deductions are allowed without written authorization.

Right to Terminate in the Event of Dispute

  • Universal Electrician Inc. reserves the right to terminate work in case of a dispute.

Notice of Defective Work

  • Customers must promptly report defective work within 48 hours.
  • They shall not withhold payments for allegedly defective work.

Services Not Covered

  • Services beyond the specified work in the agreement are not included.

Scope of Agreement

This agreement supersedes all prior negotiations and may be amended only by written agreement accepted by both parties.
